Campagnolo Record Disc 12 speed Groupset is the top tier mechanical groupset from the Italian manufacturer. It features powerful hydraulic braking, carbon, titanium and machined materials for smooth lightweight shifting that has claimed victories in the Tour de France and beyond.
Please note, Campagnolo rotors are not supplied with the groupset. Calipers supplied are suitable for 160mm rotors.
The Record Disc groupset shares a number of components with the Super Record groupset including chain, cassette and brake calipers. Giving you ultra slick shifting materials without the price tag of Super Record.
Campagnolo Record Hydraulic Ergo Shift Levers
The gear and brake levers are just 8mm taller than the rim brake version of the Record shifters. The carbon brake levers have been refined with a more pronounced double curvature, and you can also adjust the reach from the grip to suit different hand sizes simply by turning a screw on the inside of the lever. The multi-shift mechanism remains, which allows you to perform five shifts down the cassette with one lever throw, or three shifts up by holding the paddle down with your thumb, and the levers underneath the paddles are also plenty big enough and easy to access.
Campagnolo Record Disc Rear Derailleur
The carbon-reinforced technopolymer rear derailleur incorporates 3D Embrace technology, which Campagnolo designed to allow the chain to maintain optimum traction, increase the speed of the shifting and keep the derailleur at the optimum distance from the sprockets. The large 12-tooth pulley wheels make for a smoother chain movement, which is along the same line of thinking as the gloriously expensive Ceramic Speed oversized pulley system.
All the screws and the barrel adjuster are easy to access for making adjustments.
Campagnolo Super Record Cassette
The cassette is available in three sizes and the rear derailleur will work with all three sizes. The sprockets are made thinner compared to 11-speed and set closer together. The closer sprockets ensure faster, quieter and more precise shifting thanks to the special tooth design and surface treatment which guarantees a longer life span. The 6 larger sprockets are also available in two single-piece steel triplets, to avoid energy loss. Mounting the cassettes is easy thanks to matching-thickness spacers.
Campagnolo Record Front Derailleur
The Record front mech is aluminium with steel rods, and allows for up to 32mm tyres. Campagnolo says less effort is needed to make shifts thanks to a split front link rod, which avoids any contact with the travel limit screw.
The shape of the cage plate is designed to work specifically with the new 12-speed chain to avoid any rubbing at any angles.
Campagnolo Disc Brake Calipers
The flat-mount Campagnolo brake callipers ensure powerful, modular braking in any situation owing to pistons measuring 22 millimetres in diameter. The pad return is now optimised to ensure that there is no friction when the brake lever is released. A special metal plate positioned between the pad and the calliper piston, cushions the vibrations during braking.
