It can be combined with other Legend Amps models to create a multi-channel preamp setup. The F1 offers a clean channel and can direct signals to an auxiliary effect using the footswitch. It includes controls for adjusting low, mid, and high frequencies, as well as level, master volume, and gain. Additionally, it features a bi-modal speaker cabinet simulator.
