Product Details

In 2001, Danelectro unveiled the "Miscellaneous Series"—a somewhat offbeat line of retro, '60s-inspired pedals in Danelectro's famous die-cast enclosures. The Sitar Swami—with its way-cool "Guru" artwork—was intended to be a Sitar simulator. It's box says it will produce "the droning, resonating tones of the 60s." But to us, it sounds more like a bizarre mixture of a flanger, an octave, and some kind of feedback/sustain pedal. The result is psychedelic, for sure, with plenty of inspiration to spare. It can definitely do the '60s thing, but it would also fit nicely in a lo-fi noise rock setup.

This 2001 Danelecto DDS-1 Sitar Swami is in Excellent condition with a few minor cosmetic scuffs, but it's pretty clean all around and it includes it's original box. As the box says, "skip the trip to Bombay, dump the guru"—the Sitar Swami is all you need!
